Make your food stretch further

Save time. Save money. Eat well. Help power Wales to No.1.

Busy week? Tight budget? We've got you!

This spring, Matt Pritchard and Chris “Flamebaster” Roberts are sharing an easy food hack to supercharge your week. Cook smart, make it stretch, recycle what’s left. And you could even win a Welsh adventure along the way.

Did you know?

Wales is 2nd in the world for recycling, yet the average household of four still throws away £84 of food every month – that’s over £1000 a year!
£84 in the bin? No thanks! Prep once, eat it different ways and recycle the rest.

Life is busy. This just makes sense. Prep it, flex it, recycle it. Less waste, less stress. Boom!

How it works

Matt stirring a saucepan filled with vegetables on a hob

Prep it

Start with a simple, versatile base. Supercharge it with what’s already in your fridge – extra veg, herbs, meat. Add goodness. Save it from the bin.

Flex it

Cook once. Spin it different ways. Rice tonight. Wrap tomorrow. Piled on jacket potato for lunch. Same base. Fresh twist. Less time cooking. More time living.

Recycle it

Eggshells. Stalks. Bones. If you can’t eat it, recycle it. It’ll be turned into green energy and helping Wales reach No.1.
